Fair Meadow Farm & Goat Dairy

Visit the Fairmeadow Farm web-blog at: http://www.caprineshepherdess.wordpress.com Fair Meadow Farm Goat Dairy is a licensed grade A raw goat milk dairy located in Hawkins,Texas. Our facility is inspected regularly by the Texas Department of Health and milk samples taken for testing. We strive to maintain the strictest sanitation rules and guidelines to ensure a clean, healthy product. We do not use any chemicals such as pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or antibiotics. Nor do we utilize any growth hormones or milk stimulants.
It is our desire to maintain our farm as natural as possible. Our farm is family owned and operated which means that we, John, Carol, and our 3 daughters, Jessica, Christine and Mary are responsible for daily operations. All of our livestock is handled individually on a daily basis by only us. The utmost care is taken in the feeding and handling of our herd and the handling of the milk.

Our milk has a clean, sweet, crisp flavor. If you have experienced off flavored milk elsewhere then we apologize for your negative experience and invite you to taste our milk. We think you will be pleasantly surprized. We are committed to making available the best in raw goat milk products to you our valued customers.

Each member of our closed nubian goat herd is registered with the American Dairy Goat Association. We offer animals decended from recognized herd names. All of our goats are tested annually for tb and brucellosis. We practice CAE prevention and vaccinate only for chlostridium and tetanus. The herd is free of CL absesses. Our herd is rotationally grazed on our meadow which is maintained with all natural and organic products. They are also fed hay which has been cut and baled from our meadow. A dairy ration is given to the "ladies" during milking time which is free of soy products and is supplemented with kelp, dolomite, black oil sunflower seeds, and various herbs and minerals. Essential oils and diamateceous earth are used to deter pests and maintain condition. We utilize an herbal worm compound. Antibiotics and chemical wormers are only used as a last resort and that animal is removed from the milking strand.

Our milk is available both fresh and frozen and we offer yogurt upon request. Our cheese known as chevre' is a soft, spreadable cream cheese flavored with organic herbs and spices.

Visit the Fairmeadow Farm web-blog at: http://www.caprineshepherdess.wordpress.com Goats' milk has long been recognized as a natural skin emollient and rejuvenator. It contains caprylic acid and triglycerides that help balance the skins' ph, promote natural exfoliation and contribute to softness. Goats' milk contains important vitamins, minerals and amino acids to help nourish the skin. Our goat milk soap is made with vegetable based oils like olive, coconut, palm and almond to name a few. Other skin enhancing ingredients include cocoa butter, shea butter, beeswax and honey. Essential oils and dried herbs are used for fragrance, color and texture. No artifical colors or ingredients. Our soaps retain the natural glycerin that results during the soap making process. Which makes a mild bar of soap unlike commercial soaps which are similar to detergents. Our goat milk lotions and creams are rich and creamy and contain all the vegetable based ingredients and essential oils that are found in our soaps. Our lip balms also contain goats' milk and local beeswax. We utilize natural preservatives and some organic ingredients. Since our soap and lotion products are handmade from scratch in small controlled batches there may be some variation in color and fragrance but that does not take away from the quality.  Soaps - $5.00 ea. - approx. 4 oz. ea.  Lotions - 2 oz. - $4.00 ea. and 4 oz. - $8.00 ea.  Moisturizing Cream & Extreme Cream - 2 oz. - $5.00 ea. and 4 oz. - $10.00ea.  Lip Balms - $3.00 ea.

Disclaimer: Hear O Yisra'el is not affiliated with Fairmeadow Farms in any manner. The Admin has never been there, nor met the owners in person. I used to "see" Caprine (Carol Pinckard) on-line at Pal-Talk. I have purchased the soap before (GREAT stuff!) and used a sample of the lotion (also great stuff...a little too "pretty" smelling for me, but the ladies will love it!). Hear O Yisra'el has received no financial or product consideration for this page. I like the products (and Caprine was ok, too :)- ). I believe you would like the products and should give them a try. Before the Face of יהוה.
