שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד
Hear intelligently with attention and interest, comprehend and obey, O Yisra'el, יהוה our 'Elohiym is יהוה alone!
–Dabariym [deuteronomy] 6:4 His Name Tanakh**
The Hidden Name Of יהוה
א
The name of יהוה appears in the scriptures over 6,800 times! Yet, most people have never even heard His Qodesh Qodesh (set-apart) Name. This is due to the Greco-Roman religionist translators and false teachers over the many centuries.
Of the insignificant few (in relation to those who have never even heard the most Qodesh of Names) people who have come across the Name of יהוה, more than 99.9% will deliberately ignore it. They will commit this sin, because it is more fun to adhere to Man's traditions and teachings (after all, isn’t xmas and the ishtar bunny a joy?) than it is to obey יהוה.
The modern religions of today (both the self-proclaimed pagan and the western xtianity-messianity versions) are all derived from the ancient Babel Mystery Religion. All hiding יהוה's Name from the masses! After all, if you knew, where would the mystery be? Even when they deem to acknowledge the Tetragrammaton Name they still hide His Name by using Yahweh rather than יהוה! Hear O Yisra'el hopes to delve into that sometime in the future!
To help you study for the truth you will need many sources, here is a short list of suggestions (many of these resources are available on-line; just do a Google search):

The following are some excerpts from some modern Bible scholars admitting that the Qodesh Name of יהוה (the usage of Yahuwah is more proper and almost as common) has been deliberately changed! Any added notes are denoted by: (ed:). I will endeavor to update it as often as is feasible.

"J" - The 10th letter of the alphabet, a Western European medieval development of I, with which it was formerly quite interchangeable in writing. It is pronounced as a consonant in English and often as a y in other languages, as in the Hebrew hallelujah.
(p. 684) Around 1000 BC the Phoenicians and other Semitic peoples began to use graphic signs to represent individual speech sounds instead of syllables or words. They used a symbol in the forms (1, 2) to represent the sound of the semivowel "y" and called it yodh, their word for "hand." The Greeks, adapting the Phoenician alphabet, varied the shape of yodh (3, 4, 5, 6) and altered it to iota. They used iota to represent the sound of the vowel "i." The Romans borrowed the alphabet from the Greeks via the Etruscans and used iota to represent both the vowel "i" and semivowel "y." In time, they added a hook to iota to identify the semivowel, and the new symbol became the letter J. They also adapted the alphabet for monumental inscriptions, and their monumental script (8) is the prototype of modern capital letters (12 & 13). Medieval scribes adapted the Roman capitals to being quickly written on paper, parchment, and vellum, retaining the dot from the letter I to distinguish J (and I) from other similarly shaped letters. These uncial and cursive minuscules (9, 10, 11) are the prototypes of modern lower-case letters, both written and printed (15, 14). During the medieval period and well into modern times the letters I and J were interchangeable. In the 17th century (ed:1600's) they were finally distinguished and assigned their modern phonetic values.
HEXATEUCH (p. 610) - The first six books of the old testament.
JEHOVAH (p.687) - god, esp. in christian translations of the old testament (Alteration of Hebrew Yahweh, Yahuwah.)
TETRAGRAMMATON (p.1257) - The four Hebrew letters usually translated as YHWH or YHVH (Yahweh [Yahuwah] or Jehovah)and used as a biblical proper name for god.
Yahweh also YAHVEH (p.1399) - A name for god assumed by modern scholars to be a rendering of the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton.
YAHWIST (p. 1399) - The author of the earliest sources of the Hexateuch, in which god is called Yahweh [Yahuwah].
C: The Dictionary of the Bible and Religion; Wm. Gentz, General Editor; © 1986, Abingdon Press; 201 Eighth Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37202:
Yahweh [Yahuwah] (pp. 1130-31.) - The personal name for the Israelite national deity, usually translated "the Lord" in modern versions. Both the exact pronunciation and meaning of the name are uncertain*1, Ancient Hebrew texts in which only consonants and not vowels were written reproduce the name, the so-called Tetragrammaton, as YHWH. Since the name was later not pronounced, except on special occasions by the high priest, substitutions such as ADONAI ("my lord")*2 or SHEMA ("the name")*3 were used instead. Thus the exact pronunciation was lost.*4 Evidence supplied by the ancient church fathers suggests the form Yahweh [an ever increasing amount of evodence shows Yahuwah]. The meaning of the name is uncertain, although it may have never been more than a proper noun. Exodus 3:14 suggests that it may have been connected with the verb "to be," but here the author may have been offering a late uncertain folk etymology. According to Genesis 4:26, people have worshipped Yahweh [Yahuwah] since the earliest days of human history. According to Exodus 6:2, however, the name was not revealed until the time of Moses. These different views probably reflect different literary and theological traditions in ancient Israel. Yahweh [Yahuwah] was worshipped by other than the Israelites, according to Exodus 18, where Moses' father-in-law, a Midianite or Kenite, is depicted as a devotee. (J.H.)

god (p.239, ¶5) - ...In contrast with this most general name of god there stands Yahweh [Yahuwah], the most specific. Yahweh [Yahuwah] is an artificial English word put together from the four Hebrew consonants JHVH (ed: YHWH; there are no "j"s in 'Ibriy (Hebrew). This is an English substitute used to infer the correct 'Ibriy (Hebrew) form is the artificial form.) and the vowels of the Hebrew word Adonai, or lord. Before the time of [the] christ the Jews developed a superstitious dread of pronouncing JHVH; when they came to it in the text, they pronounced Adonai instead; then later the vowels of Adonai were written into the manuscripts, and in modern times people have been saying Yahweh [Yahuwah]. The original pronunciation was probably Yahweh [Yahuwah]. (Gordon A. Clark)
YAH (p. 562) - An abbreviation of Yahweh [Yahuwah], used in poetical passages in the old testament.
Yahweh [Yahuwah] (p. 562) - The Hebrew proper name of the Deity. It probably represents the correct original pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton.

JEHOVAH (p. 527) - The traditional English spelling, introduced by Tyndale, of the Hebrew name for the god of Israel; it is generally agreed today that the correct spelling should be 'Yahweh [Yahuwah].' The earliest MSS (Massoretic Scriptures) of the Hebrew Bible contained no vowels, so the sacred name appeared simply as YHWH; for knowledge of the pronunciation we are indebted to the Greek writers Clement of Alexandria and Theodoret. Even before the christian era, the Jews refused to pro-nounce the name at all and substituted the word "my lord" (in Hebrew "Adonay"); in later (Massoretic) MSS the vowels of the word were therefore attached to the consonants of YHWH, as a guide to synagogue readers to substitute Adonay. The erroneous reading of this hybrid form as "Yahweh [Yahuwah]" dates from the medieval period. The KJV and its successors usually prefer*5 to translate the Tetragrammaton as "The LORD". The original meaning of the name is uncertain*1; suggestions include "He Who is," "He Who is present," and "He Who causes to be." (D. F. Payne)

JEHOVAH \ Yahweh [Yahuwah] (P. 503) - ¶1: One of the most important names for god in the Old Testament is Yahweh, or Yahuwah, from the verb "to be," meaning simply but profoundly, "He is." His full name is found only in Ex. 3:14 and means "I am who I am" or "I am who I will be" *1. The four letter Hebrew word YHWH was the name by which god revealed Himself to Moses at the burning bush (Ex. 3:14).
¶1: (last sentence): Some English translations of the bible vocalize the word as Yahveh, while others use Yahweh [Yahuwah].
¶2: (last sentence): Yahweh [Yahuwah] is the all powerful and sovereign god Who alone defines Himself and establishes truth for His creatures and works for their salvation.
¶ ¶3: Moses was called to proclaim deliverance to the people and was told by god, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you' " (Ex.3:14). In the deliverance of the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt, god revealed a deeper significance to His name. But He had already disclosed Himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob *6 as Yahweh [Yahuwah]. Each of them had called on the name of the lord (ed: Yahuwah) (Gen. 12:8; 13:4; 26:25; Ex. 3:15) as the god Who protects and blesses. Yet Exodus 6:3 shows that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know the fuller meaning of Yahweh [Yahuwah], which was to be revealed to Moses and the Hebrew people in His role as Redeemer during the Exodus experience. [ed. note: This has already been proven a fallaciy; the patriarch's did, indeed, know and use His Name as well as knew the full meaning of it!]
¶4: The divine name Yahweh [Yahuwah] is usually translated "lord" in English versions of the Bible, because it was the practice in late Old Testament Judaism not to pronounce the sacred name YHWH (ed: yodh heh waw heh), but to say instead "my lord" (Adonai) -- a practice still used today in the synagogue (ed:The children of Yisra'el started it and everybody else followed!). When the vowels of Adonai were attached to the consonants YHWH in the medieval period, the word Yahuwah resulted. Today, many christians use the word (name) Yahuwah, the more original pronunciation, not hesitating to name the divine...
EL (From p.504) - Another important root name for god in the Old Testament is EL. By itself it refers to a god in the most general sense. It was widely used in ancient eastern cultures whose languages are similar to Hebrew and therefore may refer either to the true god or to false gods. The highest Canaanite god was El, whose son was Ba'al.*7 In the Bible the word is often defined properly by a qualifier like Jehovah: “I, the Lord (Jehovah) your god (Elohim), am a jealous god (El)” (Deut. 5:9). Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba “and there called on the name of the Lord (Yahuwah), the Everlasting god (El Olam) (Gen. 21:33). Jacob built an altar on a piece of land he purchased at Shechem and called it “El Elohe Israel” (“god, the god of Israel”), commemorating his wrestling with the angel at the place he called Peniel (“the face of god”), and receiving his new name Israel (“god strives”) (Gen. 32:28–30; 33:20). El Shaddai (god Almighty), signifying god as a source of blessing, is the name with which god appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Ex. 6:3).
H: "The Ministry" May, 1958 [p. 36] taken from the S.D.A. Bible Commentary: "The divine title most common in the old testrament (6,823) is the sacred word YHWH."
YHWH is vocalized as "Yahweh [Yahuwah]." See Tetragrammaton in the Shoprter Oxford English Dictionary.
I: Holy Name Bible; published by the Scripture Research Association:
"Another common error among most of the translators is their elimination of heaven's revealed Name of the Most High, Yahweh [Yahuwah]...and the substitutions of the of the names of the local deities of the nations among whom they dwelt (Psalm 96:5), expressly transgressing Yahweh's [Yahuwah] commandments as given in Exodus 20:7 and 23:13. The substitution of the Names of Yahweh [Yahuwah]...by the names of the pagan deities of the nations has brought immeasurable harm...By employing these names the people unknowingly turn the worship of Yahweh [Yahuwah] into that of idols and actually ascribe the benevolent characteristics of the Mighty One of Israel to the pagan deities (Hosea 2:8)."
J: The James Moffit Translation;
(pp. 20-21): Moffit states that he would have had no compunctions to using the Holy Name Yahweh [Yahuwah], had he intended his translation for scholars of the original Hebrew. (ed: Apparently Moffit did not care if the masses continued to use pagan deity names!)

vol. 7: (p.88): "The reading Jehovah is a comparatively recent invention. Jehovah is generally held to have been the invention of Pope Leo the 10th's confessor, Peter Galatin (De Arcanis Catholic Veritates 1518, Folio XLII), who was followed in the use of this hybrid form by Fagius Drusius. Van de Driesche, who lived between 1550 and 1616, was the first to ascribe to Peter Galatin the use of Jehovah, and this view has been taken since his day."
From the Online version (see the link below):
Reason for Disuse: The avoidance of the original name of God both in speech and, to a certain extent, in the Bible was due, according to Geiger ("Urschrift," p. 262), to a reverence which shrank from the utterance of the Sublime Name; and it may well be that such a reluctance first arose in a foreign, and hence in an "unclean" land, very possibly, therefore, in Babylonia. According to Dalman (l.c. pp. 66 et seq.), the Rabbis forbade the utterance of the Tetragrammaton, to guard against desecration of the Sacred Name; but such an ordinance could not have been effectual unless it had met with popular approval. The reasons assigned by Lagarde ("Psalterium Hicronymi," p. 155) and Halévy ("Recherches Bibliques," i. 65 et seq.) are untenable, and are refuted by Jacob (l.c. pp. 172, 174), who believes that the Divine Name was not pronounced lest it should be desecrated by the heathen. The true name of God was uttered only during worship in the Temple, in which the people were alone; and in the course of the services on the Day of Atonement the high priest pronounced the Sacred Name ten times (Tosef., Yoma, ii. 2; Yoma 39b). This was done as late as the last years of the Temple (Yer. Yoma 40a, 67). If such was the purpose, the means were ineffectual, since the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton was known not only in Jewish, but also in non-Jewish circles centuries after the destruction of the Temple, as is clear from the interdictions against uttering it (Sanh. x. 1; Tosef., Sanh. xii. 9; Sifre Zuṭa, in Yalḳ., Gen. 711; 'Ab. Zarah 18a; Midr. Teh. to Ps. xci., end). Raba, a Babylonian amora who flourished about 350, wished to make the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton known publicly (Ḳid. 71b); and a contemporary Palestinian scholar states that the Samaritans uttered it in taking oaths (Yer. Sanh. 28b). The members of the Babylonian academy probably knew the pronunciation as late as 1000 C. E. (Blau, l.c. pp. 132 et seq., 138 et seq.). The physicians, who were half magicians, made special efforts to learn this name, which was believed to possess marvelous powers (of healing, etc.; Yer. Yoma 40a, below).

Footnotes
*1: Read Exodus 3:13-14. See |H#136| of Section A the vowel pointing changes the pronunciation.. According to the Towrah, Yahuwah told Mosheh that His name means: "I Am What I Choose To Be"! If god was really the supposed translation wouldn't it be proper to say, pray to & worship our "I Am What I Choose To Be"?
*2: See |H#113| and |H#136| of Section A.
*3: See |H#8034| of Section A.
*4: It was not lost, it was hidden!
*5: Who gave Man the right to prefer? There is no scriptural basis, not to even mention permission, for Mankind to have a preference in what we call Yahuwah, whether His Name is changed to god, lord or hashem!
*6: Abraham ab-raw-hawm' |H# 85|, Yitschaq yits-khawk' |H# 3327|, Ya'aqob yah-ak-obe' |H# 3290|; from |H#6117|;
*7: In ancient 'Ibriy (Hebrew) 'EL' meant: strength and its emphatic meant: mighty and\or mighty one. The Kena'aniy (Canaanites) worshipped 'EL' as the father of Ba'al. 'El' was short for 'EL-BAR" meaning "god the son" and his son was Ba'al meaning 'lord'. Additional note for thought: Many modern linguists are now concluding what the scriptures have shown all along, that all earth's languages are derived from a single ancient source. While they do not claim it is 'Ibriy (Hebrew), they do say it is a Semitic tongue. Remember 'Abram came from 'Uwr and they spoke a Semitic language. He traveled to Kena'an (Canaan) and they spoke a Semitic language. Abram also made several journies to Mitsrayim (egypt) and was able to converse with them as well.
